Concerns are growing about the welfare of a man trapped in the row between Fiji and Tonga's New Zealand.

"Needs it [diabetes medication]."He takes it very often, I do not know how many times, but you need it, lucky De Silva told one news.
Friends say Fullman is not answering his phone or respond to email messages.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and trade said it is studying the matter and has been in contact with Fullman.
Fullman has extracted interrogation because phone records show that he had been talking with Mara Lieutenant Colonel before leaving for Tonga.
Mara escaped a charge of sedition in Fiji last weekend, but is in Tonga under the protection of the Royal family, to which it is linked.
A correspondent Barbara Dreaver News spoke yesterday to Mara and told him that it was natural that the two had talked about because "they are friends", he said.
Fullman is the former head of the authority of Fiji water and is one of a number to be questioned about how Mara came to be in Tonga.
Fullman has had his passport confiscated.
Instructor of surf Tim McBride, who has U.S. passport, has also been arrested on suspicion of helping to Mara.
According to the latest report of Amnesty International, there is reason to worry.
"Recently, we have seen politicians, officials, etc. in the Queen Elizabeth barracks physically and sexually abused and intimidated so it would be very concerned about no one is taking their interrogation by the military," Patrick Holmes of Amnesty InternationalHe said.
Mara said news that people were being taken to the barracks and beaten.
"Fear for my family", he said.
"This oppressive regime has done in the past, its specific people who voted, has led to their families".

Fiji and Tonga: asylum's Island - The Economist

SEVERAL hundred years ago, the State of Fiji, the Pacific Islands was a place of refuge for the Princes exiled from neighbouring Tonga. It is now Tonga that serves as a destination for asylum-seekers blue-blooded of Fiji. Roko Tevita Uluilakeba Mara, son of the founder of the modern State, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara final, fled by sea, with the help of the Navy of Tonga.

It is now under the protection of the use of homburg Tonga monarch, King George Tupou V, a distant relative of the father of the Mara Mr.
Contrasting fortunes switches does not end there. Tonga, long an autocratic monarchy, took a giant step towards democracy in November, when the country elected its first elected Government. Meanwhile, Fiji has entered into increasingly more authoritarian.

Draconian public emergency regulations have been in force, with few let-ups, since a military coup in December 2006.
Until it was suspended in October, Mr Mara was commander of the regiment of Fiji. He had been a loyal ally of the coup leader and military Chief, Frank Bainimarama. Now in freedom in the capital of Tonga, Nuku'alofa Mr Mara denounces what he says is hurtful Commodore Bainimarama Government control exercised by the Attorney general, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. It calls for regime change.
